Goal
To contribute to the solution of community issues of Gyumri through the creation of an initiative group of civic journalists and a cooperative platform local government-initiative group.
Context
The absence of initiative group who works towards solving the community issues, the amendment of the RA Law on “Local Self-Government Agency” and the citizens’ ignorance towards the decision-making process of the local governments contribute to the sustainable maintenance of existing problems, which remain pending as the process of solving the community issues is not completed in a participatory way so the local governments stay unaware of existing issues.

The “Community of Youth” project is implemented by the initiative group with the support of Armenian UN Association and financial assistance of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
